SRT Maintains its Dominant Position Among Transport Protocols
According to this year’s survey, a resounding 68% of respondents are utilizing SRT for live video transport. This preference remains unchanged from last year’s figure. Following SRT, RTMP is used by 56% of respondents, while UDP is employed by 45%.
SRT’s success lies in its focus on low-latency, packet loss recovery, security features, flexibility, open-source collaboration, and compatibility with modern video codecs. The numbers speak for themselves, reflecting the continued trust and reliance broadcasters place in SRT for their live video transport needs.
