Arbor Media today announced that they are actively implementing the SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) technology into the following products: LogDepot, Cmeets and ConnectedViews. The company’s main focus for SRT is the connection between customer premises (running LogDepot and Cmeets) and Arbor Media’s web publication platform ConnectedViews. SRT will also be a part of the generic content transport mechanism between data centers.

Arbor Media joined the SRT Alliance in November 2017 to endorse the open-source initiative dedicated to overcoming the challenges of low-latency video streaming. Today, they are implementing SRT as part of their solution offering in the goal of improving live video streaming experiences for their customers, which include parliaments, court rooms, broadcast stations and other professional organizations throughout Europe.

The SRT Alliance was founded by Haivision and Wowza in April 2017 and already has more than 120 members and more than 40 SRT Ready solutions on the market. Its mission is to overcome the challenges of low-latency live streaming by supporting the collaborative development of SRT through the SRT Project, the fastest growing open source streaming project. SRT is a free open source video transport protocol and technology stack that enables the delivery of high-quality and secure, low-latency video across the public internet.
