SRT Alliance Welcomes Imagine Communications, Net Insight, Red Bee Media, Telestream, and 35 More Companies to the SRT Open Source Video Streaming Project
SRT Continues Momentum to Becoming the De facto Low Latency Video Streaming Standard
Montreal, Canada – March 21, 2019 – The SRT Alliance, supporting the SRT Open Source Project, announces that 39 more companies have recently endorsed the SRT protocol for low latency video streaming, including broadcast industry giants Imagine Communications, Net Insight, Red Bee Media, Telestream.
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is an open-source protocol, developed by Haivision, which allows broadcasters and streamers to deliver high-quality, low-latency streams across the public internet. SRT is fast becoming the de facto low latency video streaming standard in the broadcast and streaming industries.

Since SRT became open source at NAB 2017 more than 200 companies, including Microsoft, Comcast, EBU/Eurovision, Harmonic, Ateme, MediaKind, Brightcove, and Kaltura, have shown their support for the emerging standard by joining the SRT Alliance.
